The Phalen Cultural Center exists to educate, engage, inspire, and empower scholars, families, organizational partners and the community on the Far Eastside and at large.  

We embrace the performing arts and other mediums as a compelling form of communication and a connector that bridges the gap between diverse cultures, expressing the issues of today while giving us a deeper understanding of the past and a hope for the future.  

Programs at The Phalen Center will be interactive, dynamic, and connected to the culture of the Far Eastside and other artistic innovations from throughout the area.  The Phalen Center will play an important role in drawing connections between the various disciplines that the city boasts such as business, media, the arts and live entertainment. 

The Phalen Center will partner with mission-aligned organizations and programs that will help us to accomplish the following goals and objectives that we have for all those who interact with our facility:

1. The Phalen Center inspires artistic expression and advances cultural literacy among scholars and the community at large. 
2. The Phalen Center provides quality programming for the residents of the Far Eastside and the larger Indianapolis community that entertains, empowers and educates.
3. The Phalen Center attracts various industry professionals as partners, collaborators and connectors to build educational programming that inspires and exposes scholars and community members.

The Phalen Center is a newly and fully renovated facility with state of the art equipment and technology, and it seats 500 audience members. 

The facility has a fully equipped stage, lighting and sound booth to host and accommodate various types of visual and performance based artistic expression as well as other professional or amateur productions.
