    Thank you for your interest in the Phalen Leadership Academies (PLA) Promise Prep. PLA Promise Prep provides a rigorous and well-rounded learning experience for our scholars, and we aim to create a welcoming environment for all parents.

    We know that you are your child’s first and most important teacher. We also know that you are our most important partner in ensuring that our scholars achieve everything they are capable of achieving. At PLA Promise Prep, we actively work to partner with you to ensure that your child receives an exceptional education.

    Below, you can find some of the ways in which we work to partner with our families:

    • We hold a parent orientation, where we share our vision for your child’s education;
    • Teachers provide regular reports on your child’s progress;
    • Parent-teacher conferences enable you to meet with your child’s teacher;
    • We invite you to attend field trips, to sit in on classes, or participate in other ways, and; 
    • We hold fun family events and parent events

    We are an a-rated tuition-free school, and we look forward to working with you to ensure that we provide the best education possible for your child.

    The PLA Promise Prep school day runs from 7:45am-2:25pm Monday through Friday. Doors open at 7:30am and students are considered tardy if they arrive later than 8:00 am.

    At Promise Prep, all students are provided a healthy, nutritious breakfast and lunch at no cost through the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program.
     
    If your student has an allergy or needs a food accommodation, please complete a meal accommodation form and return back to the school nurse. All meal accommodation forms must include a physician signature.

    School Wellness

  • NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

     

    Food Service Management Company (FSMC) Request for Proposals (RFP)

    This solicitation is for the purpose of entering into a contract for the operation of a food service program for Phalen Academy, herein after referred to as the School Food Authority (SFA). The bidder is herein referred to as the Food Service Management Company (FSMC). The final contract will be between the FSMC and SFA.

    A meeting with interested bidders to review the specifications, to clarify any questions, and for a virtual walk-through of the facilities with school officials will be held on May 10, 2024, at 10:00 AM ET via a Teams meeting link. Attendance is optional.
