The historic PLA@ Louis B. Russell, Jr. Elementary School 48 (PLA@48) is a PLA network school serving scholars in grades pre-K-6. Our curriculum is scholar-centered and researched-based. Peer mentoring and cooperative groups highlight our classrooms where a wide variety of teaching strategies and learning methods are used. This enriched learning environment is designed to prepare our scholars to fully comprehend and function productively in our highly sophisticated and technical society.

At PLA@48, we provide a rigorous, quality education for the scholars in our community. Our data-driven program will build our scholars' character and educational foundation for future success, through relentless high expectations and continuous recognition of growth. We also offer an after school STEM Program for scholars.
