STEM Learning Comes to Life for PLA Scholars

At the Phalen Leadership Academies, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education is coming to life for our scholars.

Scholars in grades 1-5 are designing and creating an underwater remote operated vehicle (or "ROV"). They are developing a "STEM identity" from an early age, as well as building skills that will help them pursue careers in electrical and mechanical engineering, robotics, and materials science.
