Phalen Leadership Academy educators came together this week to train and learn about Indiana’s new state accountability testing system, ILearn.

Teachers at PLA@103 and PLA93 worked together to digest the system in order to better support their scholars. The teachers from both schools worked in grade level bands to collaborate and understand how to align the blueprints, curriculum, and standards.

The ILEARN
test will replace ISTEP for elementary and middle school scholars this school year. For elementary and middle school, ILEARN will be “computer-adaptive,” and adjust the level of difficulty based on scholars’ responses.

Mastering ILEARN will enable PLA educators to more precisely determine how scholars are doing in class, and provide them with useful feedback
