Week of May 27th: Hope Tolson Principal Message

Principal Message

Dear Hope Family Parents,
We are in the home stretch, and there is much to be accomplished before the school year ends. We have end of year assessments, and it is time for all of our awesome students to put their best feet forward. It is an exciting time in which our kids will be able to celebrate their academic growth.  I would like to thank all of you who went online and filled out the parent survey. The feedback provided from the survey allows the school to continuously improve. This month, we begin taking our DC Cape and NWEA testing .Our teachers have diligently been working to ensure students are thoroughly prepared and clarifying all questions relating to the assessments. In May, students will continue with the remainder of their NWEA Assessments. We wish them well! In addition, it is a good time to reflect on kindness. Even though our February Random Acts of Kindness have ended, we should continue to work together to promote kind words and positive reactions to emotions. Let’s make this a kind and caring Hope-Tolson PCS.  Thank You For Being You!  Your Partnership Is Truly Appreciated!
Secondly May 28th was the last day for tutoring. We are asking that you pick your children up on time. School dismissal is at 3:00 pm. Anytime after 3:30 pm is considered late. There will be a late charge of $40.00 per scholar for late pickups.  Hope-Tolson offers aftercare which is another option and resource for you.

Respectfully,
Dr. Clifford Owens
